The competent authorities released YouTuber Mohamed Abdel Aty after ratifying the decision to release him, after serving his sentence in the case of publishing videos indecent to public modesty on social media sites.

In a related context, the Economic Misdemeanor Court of Appeals ruled to accept the appeal of blogger Mohamed Abdel-Aty, and to reduce his sentence to 3 months’ imprisonment instead of 2 years, in the case of publishing videos indecent to public modesty on social media sites.
Blogger Mohamed Abdel Aty appeared during an appeal session against the two-year prison sentence issued against him, before the Economic Misdemeanor Court of Appeal, in a striking manner, showing signs of weight loss.
For his part, his lawyer said that his client is a YouTuber, not a TikToker, who appears on live streams to get gifts. He also presents his content on YouTube, and the videos are reviewed on the site before publishing them, and his content is classified as +18 and therefore does not affect young people.
