Ministry revealed Endowments On the harvest of the activities of the General Administration of Holy Qur’an Affairs during the period from January 1 to March 31, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to serve the Book of God Almighty, spread mastery of recitation, and expand the circles of memorization and recitation at the republic level, under the patronage of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments.

The Endowments reveals the achievements of the General Administration of Holy Quran Affairs during the first quarter of 2026

The total number of Qur’anic sessions held by the Ministry reached 116,060 sessions, through Qur’anic reciters, memorization offices, recitation councils, recitation centers, and the Correct Your Reading programme.

First: Qur’anic reciters
The total number of recitations held reached 74,402 recitations, as follows:

Imams’ recitations: 460 weekly recitations, of which 5980 recitations were held.
Members’ recitations: 890 weekly recitations, of which 11,570 recitations were held.
Public recitations: 3,640 weekly recitations, of which 47,320 recitations were held.
Typical reciters: 29 reciters, of which 377 reciters were held.
Imams’ Qur’an for Qur’anic recitations: 54 recitations, of which 348 recitations were held.
Ladies reciters: 5 female reciters, of which 65 female reciters were held.
Female preacher reciters: 16 reciters, of which 2028 reciters were held.
Fajr recitation: 6,701 recitations were held in a number of mosques across the republic.
Recitation of Surat Al-Kahf: It was held weekly at the Misr Mosque in the New Capital, with 13 reciters.

Second: Iqra councils, recitation centers, and the Correct Your Reading program
The total number of sessions held in this axis reached 11,691 sessions, distributed as follows:

Reading councils for senior readers: 17 councils, of which 221 councils were held.
Centers for recitation of the Holy Qur’an and teaching the provisions of recitation: 14 centres, of which 364 councils were held.
“Correct Your Reading” program: It was implemented in 1,234 mosques nationwide, and the number of its sessions reached 11,106.

Third: Memorization offices
The total number of memorization sessions held reached 29,967 memorization sessions, as follows:

Degree memorization offices: 132 offices, in which 3036 memorization circles were held.
Rewarded memorization offices: 1,841 offices, in which 25,774 memorization sessions were held.
Distance memorization: 89 sessions, of which 1,157 memorization sessions were held.

The same period also witnessed the holding of 56 supplication evenings, in addition to supervising Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers and the afternoon reading in a number of major mosques, including: Imam Hussein Mosque in Cairo, the Mosque of Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-Aas, Al-Aziz Al-Hakim Mosque, Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, Sayyida Zainab Mosque in Cairo, Misr Mosque in the New Capital, and Al-Nasr Mosque in Mansoura, in addition to following up and supervising Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers. In the mosques of the Republic.

Fourth: Quranic competitions

The Ministry continued to organize and supervise a number of Qur’anic competitions, as the State of Recitation Competition resulted in the selection of 3 contestants in the branches of Tajweed and Recitation and the Audience Award, and the Tahajjud Prayer Competition for Imams was also completed.

The Ministry also announced the thirty-third international competition for the Holy Qur’an 1447 AH / 2026 AD, and the date for the initial exams is being set in the regional directorates, in addition to announcing the major Qur’an competition among students of the centers for preparing memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, as well as the competition for Qur’anic reciters.

The supervision also included organizing a number of Qur’anic competitions during the month of Ramadan in a number of ministries, educational institutions, and directorates, as well as Qur’anic competitions in a number of governorates, including Cairo, Suez, Damietta, Matrouh Governorate, Alexandria, South Sinai, North Sinai, Port Said, Assiut, Minya, Giza, and the Red Sea, in addition to nominating contestants to participate in international competitions in Turkey. And Jordan.

This harvest reflects the magnitude of the efforts made by the Ministry of Endowments in serving the Holy Qur’an and its people, through the expansion of memorization and recitation circles, and the organization of reciters and Quranic activities, which contribute to preparing a generation proficient in the Book of God Almighty in the various governorates of the Republic.
