The International Federation for History and Statistics (IFFHS) revealed the annual classification of the strongest football leagues for the year 2025, which witnessed the distinguished appearance of the Egyptian Premier League for the second year in a row.
The Egyptian League tops the list of the strongest in Africa
And keep Egyptian League Premier League confirmed its global position in the league classification, as it ranked 16th, ahead of a number of European leagues, most notably the Swiss and Danish.
The Egyptian League also topped the African league rankings, while the Moroccan League came in second place in Africa and 39th globally, down 5 places from last year, and the South African League ranked third on the African level.
The Algerian championship came in fourth place in Africa, followed by the Tunisian League in fifth place in Africa.
On the Arab level, the Saudi Professional League advanced 8 global positions, ranking 13th globally instead of 21st, to be the strongest Arab league in the past year 2025.
The English Premier League tops the list of the strongest global leagues for the year 2025, advancing 3 places from last year, while the Spanish League maintained its position in second place, the Brazilian League advanced to third place, while the Italian League fell to fourth place after topping the rankings last year in 2024.
