The Economic Court decided today, Sunday, to refer the case to stop the advertisement in Laban to the Office of Experts to move the company and match the products.

Earlier, Lawyer Walid Al-Fouly, Adly Sweet Company’s agent, said that the Cairo Economic Court will consider, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, the request submitted by the company to stop advertising the alloy product of the Laban chain, until the dispute existing between the two parties regarding intellectual property rights is resolved.
Al-Fouly explained that the application has No. 49 of 2026 before the Economic Court, and aims to take urgent precautionary measures by stopping the broadcast of advertisements and preventing the circulation of the product in question, until the case is decided.
He added that the company adheres to its legal rights, noting that the advertising campaign for the alloy product was launched by Adly Sweet on March 10, 2026, and achieved wide spread, before a similar product was launched by B Laban, which the company considered an imitation of the original idea.
