Today, the Suez Misdemeanor Court of Appeal ruled to accept the investigation authorities’ appeal against the acquittal ruling issued by the Faisal and Al-Janain Misdemeanor Court, and overturned the previous ruling, and ruled that the defendants be imprisoned for one year each, in the incident of assaulting an elderly person by slapping him within the scope of the Suez Governorate.

The defendants were imprisoned for one year in the incident of slapping an elderly Suez man, and the previous acquittal ruling was cancelled

A source told Cairo 24 that The court It held its session, discussed the reasons for the appeal submitted by the Public Prosecution, saw that the incident was proven against the accused Asim and Ali Gharib, and acknowledged the existence of the elements of the crime, which necessitated the imposition of a one-year prison sentence.

The Faisal and Al-Janain Misdemeanor Court had previously issued a ruling acquitting the defendants, before the investigating authorities appealed the ruling, so the case was reconsidered before the Suez Appellate Misdemeanor Court, which issued its earlier ruling.
