Defense lawyer Ahmed Hamad, accused of killing his wife in Menoufia, said that the Shebin El-Kom Criminal Court decided to commit his client to the Abbasiya Psychiatric Hospital, to demonstrate the extent of his mental health, based on the defense’s request.

Cairo 24 obtained investigations into the case of the murder of a woman at the hands of her husband, who was strangled inside their home in the Sanabsa Center in Menoufia.
The investigation officers listened to the accused’s statements, as he said: He is what happened to me marrying Samia, and leaving my children behind her, and we have always been together since the moment I married her, and we do not have a good time and there are a lot of problems that happen to us, and I spoke to her a lot and to her family, but the problems continued until yesterday after I learned from the outside that she and her sister were a problem worker with someone at work.
He added: I went to her family around 6:30 PM, the time of the evening call to prayer, and sat with her father and mother and told them what happened. Her father responded that he said, “My brain is hurting me,” and her mother said, “We smell bad from you,” so I drank tea with them and two honey-cut stones, and then I walked back home and found my wife awake. I blamed her and said to me, “If you want to divorce me, divorce me.” She had been at her grocery store for about 50 days, preventing herself from me, and I asked for it. From her, but she didn’t get sick and then he kept quiet.
He explained: Then I went to make a cup of tea and went to open the door of the apartment and sit down while she was sitting in the hall. Then she said to my daughter that she is washing the dishes. Then she washed the dishes. She is our daughter who came in and fell asleep after her. Then she spoke to me about the problems again and said, “This is my life and this is my situation.” This was around 7 o’clock, and she went to heat the water and went to take a shower, and after she took a shower, she went out, combed her hair, and picked up the phone. She kept playing in it and stayed like that until one and a half hours at night.
He said: At 2 o’clock at night, I told her, “Let’s go to sleep,” and I wanted to have sex with her like any married couple. She prevented herself from me, and I told her, “I’m still bringing you from your family’s house,” and you’re going to confess, and I went ahead so that you could come and do that. Then I told her, “It’s okay to let your sister insult me today. He insulted me with my father.”
He continued: A word from me upon a word from her. We held each other and she grabbed me by my jalabiya and I hit her on the face. Then I grabbed her with both my hands and put my hands on her neck and her neck against the wall, and I put my hands on her neck for about 5 minutes until she finished, and when I insulted her, she fell on the ground and I left the house. Then I went to the toilet because my machine was there, and I took the machine and went to my sister’s husband’s house. I informed him of what had happened and he told me to go and surrender yourself at the center, and I went to the center and surrendered myself, and that is all that happened.
