Within the framework of the directives of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor Assiut By intensifying ration campaigns in various parts of the governorate, the Assiut Supply Directorate and its external departments launched intensive ration campaigns on a number of governorate centers.
Intensive food campaigns
The campaigns included visits and inspections of municipal, tourist and French bakeries, in addition to commercial shops, markets, warehouses, gas depots, gas stations, ration operators, and the “My Association” project.
Mr. Khaled Muhammad Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Assiut, explained that the Directorate and its various departments implemented a number of oversight campaigns to ensure the extent of establishments’ compliance with ration laws and decisions, in conjunction with Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Rashwan Al-Zaidi, Head of Supply Investigations, and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Abdel Karim, Undersecretary of the Department.
The campaigns resulted in the writing of the following records:
First: in the field of markets
45 kilograms of meat, chicken, liver, and minced meat unfit for human consumption were seized.
2 tons of free sugar seized without invoices.
4 minutes were issued to gas warehouses for illegally disposing of 250 small-sized gas cylinders.
A report was issued to one of the drivers of the Butagasco company for unlawfully disposing of 30 small-sized gas cylinders.
Issuing 4 closure minutes for gas warehouses.
3 minutes were issued for not announcing the prices of butane cylinders.
Issuing 3 reports of selling cigarettes at more than the official price.
Second: in the field of bakeries
A number of 87 reports were issued for municipal bakeries, ranging from violations of underweight, non-compliance with specifications, lack of cleanliness, lack of an advertising data board, partial cessation of work, lack of a scale, misuse of quantities of flour, and failure to give cash to citizens.
The Supply Directorate in Assiut confirms the continuation of monitoring campaigns on a daily basis to control markets, ensure that support reaches those who deserve it, and take the necessary legal measures against violators.
