
Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, received Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor, in the presence of Major General Gamal Awad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Social Insurance Authority, and the leadership of the two ministries, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the New Capital.
The Minister of Social Solidarity began the meeting by welcoming the Minister of Labor and his accompanying delegation, wishing him success in leading the ministry, thanking former Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran for what he provided during his tenure as the Ministry of Labor, and expressing her aspiration for more cooperation and coordination between the two ministries during the coming period in areas of joint work.
The meeting emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and institutional integration between the Ministries of Social Solidarity and Labor and the National Social Insurance Authority, with the aim of facilitating and simplifying social insurance procedures for categories of irregular workers, ensuring them a comprehensive social protection umbrella and sustainable support.
The two parties agreed to begin studying the implementation of the proposal presented by the Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, by providing all aspects of support and facilities from the Ministry of Labor, especially with regard to quickly issuing certificates measuring the level of skill and licenses to practice the craft, while exempting some cases from the prescribed fees, in accordance with the legal controls regulating this.
It was also agreed to quickly study the possibility of the Ministry of Labor contributing to supporting the payment of the insurance share prescribed for some categories of irregular workers, within the framework of the trend towards expanding the base of beneficiaries of the social insurance system.
The meeting also touched on the agreement to enhance cooperation and electronic connectivity between the databases of the two ministries, especially in the areas of vocational training and the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market, in addition to providing training opportunities for the children and families of beneficiaries of the conditional cash support program “Solidarity and Dignity,” which contributes to their economic empowerment, effective integration into the labor market, and achieving the state’s goals of comprehensive development and social justice.

The Strategic Financial System for Economic Empowerment, headed by the Minister of Social Solidarity, supports efforts at economic empowerment and financial inclusion for groups benefiting from “Solidarity and Dignity.”
The meeting concluded with both ministers emphasizing the strengthening of cooperation and coordination in joint work areas, as well as the signing of a cooperation protocol between the two ministries to expand the scope of work in a number of work areas.
