Today, residents found the drowned body of an unidentified person in the Nile River in front of the village of Awlad al-Sheikh Sharq, affiliated with the local unit of the village of Awlad Yahya Bahri, in the center of Dar al-Salam in the governorate. Sohag.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a notification from Major General Mahmoud Taha, Director of Criminal Investigation in Sohag, stating that an unidentified body had been found floating in the Nile River in Dar es Salaam through the people.
The relevant agencies immediately moved to the scene of the accident, and the body was transferred to the morgue at Dar es Salaam Central Hospital. The security services and the relevant investigation authorities are continuing their efforts to find out the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of his death, and no details have yet been reached about the cause of the accident or how he died.
Work is underway to determine his identity by searching the records of missing persons and writing a report on the incident in preparation for presenting it to the competent investigation authorities.
