The health inspector’s report denied the existence of criminal suspicion in the death of a 3-month-old baby, after her dead body arrived at Tahta General Hospital, in one of the villages of Tahta Center, north of Sohag Governorate.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, had received a notification from Brigadier General Ali Al-Ketbi, the warden of the Tahta Center, stating that a dead baby had arrived at Tahta General Hospital, and the competent authorities were immediately notified to take the necessary action.

A police force led by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al-Omda, head of investigations at the center, and Chief Mohamed Diab, assistant to the center, moved to the hospital, and through initial examination and preliminary investigations, the identity of the child was determined, and it turned out that she was called “J. M., who is 3 months old and resides in the village of Nazlet Amara in the Tahta Police Station. The body was transferred to the hospital morgue at the disposal of the investigating authorities.

When the body was presented to the health inspector, the report confirmed that there was no criminal suspicion in the death, and that the death was natural. A report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified, which took the necessary legal procedures.
