The Media Center of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade confirmed that the statements circulated on some social media pages attributed to Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, regarding Sudanese brothers residing in Egypt, are a false and slanderous claim that is not based on any official statements or facts.
The media center stressed that His Excellency the Minister did not make any final statements in this regard, and that what was circulated was completely fabricated and baseless.
It is worth noting that the circulating image and the conversation accompanying it refer to a presentation made by His Excellency the Minister before the House of Representatives, and we confirm that this presentation came on (October 21, 2024), and did not touch, near or far, on the aforementioned topic, nor was it included in the Council’s minutes at all.
Supply denies statements attributed to the minister regarding Sudanese residing in Egypt: a slander not based on official statements
In this context, the Media Center confirms that His Excellency the Minister and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade have the utmost appreciation and respect for the Sudanese brothers present in the land of Egypt, within the framework of fraternal relations and historical ties that bring together the two brotherly peoples.
The Media Center calls on all media outlets and social media users to be accurate in what is published, not to be led by rumors, and to rely on official statements issued by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade as the reliable source of information.
