Schubert explained in television statements that Al-Ahly’s management has finally decided to cancel the position of sports director for a period of up to a year, with Sayed Abdel Hafeez assuming this role, with an executive assistant appointed to assist him in daily tasks.
He added that the closest person to assuming the position of contracting director is Essam Serageldin, given the vacancy of the position during the recent period.
He pointed out that the club is moving to form a “scouting” committee that includes a number of qualified people, including Anis Boujelban, while continuing to discuss the idea of hiring a foreign company specialized in this file.
Schubert concluded his statements by stressing that the selection of new deals will be carried out in coordination between the technical staff that will be settled for the new season, and Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel Hafeez, with the aim of avoiding repeating the mistakes of last season.
