The competent investigation authorities in Giza ordered the renewal of the detention of the banana seller accused of ending the life of a worker inside a bakery in the Boulak area, for 15 days pending investigation, using a knife, following disputes between them.

Investigations revealed that the victim is Muhammad Eid Abdel Tawab, a worker at the Mecca bakery, and his father is the owner of the bakery. The accused works as a banana seller in front of the bakery. He had quarreled on the same day in the morning with his mother and younger brother, before returning later and getting into an argument with the victim inside the bakery.

Investigations added that the quarrel developed into a dispute, after which the accused stabbed the victim with a knife used to cut bananas, stabbing him in the thigh, causing severe bleeding that claimed his life.

Investigations confirmed that there was no suspicion of theft in the incident, and that the dispute was only a quarrel inside the bakery. The security forces were able to arrest the accused, and legal measures were taken regarding the incident.
