Remove 20 gold mill
Mahmoud Abdel Sabour, Vice President of the Center, explained that the campaign succeeded in removing 20 unlicensed gold mills and a number of syenite pools, which some people used to extract gold in an illegal manner for the purpose of making quick profits at the expense of the state’s rights.
The deputy head of the center confirmed that the local unit had previously warned citizens against using this equipment due to the large consumption of energy and electricity it causes, in addition to the fact that it relies on traditional methods in extracting a precious metal of great economic importance, such as gold.
In a related context, the campaign was also able to remove 12 cases of encroachment within the 27th wave of implementation of the building law, and recover 6,463 meters of state-owned land, within the framework of the state’s directives to confront any encroachments or illegal construction works.
