Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor, announced Assiutrecovering 97 acres of agricultural land in addition to 1,008 square meters of violating buildings, following the removal of 24 cases of encroachment on state lands and spatial variables, as part of the work of the third phase of wave 27 to remove encroachments, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and decisions of the Council of Ministers, aimed at protecting the agricultural area, preventing violating construction, and recovering encroached lands.
24 cases removed
The Governor of Assiut explained that the removal campaigns were carried out in full coordination between the local units in the centers of Assiut, Al-Fath, Sidfa, Abnoub, and Al-Ghanaim, in addition to the West Assiut neighborhood, in cooperation with the various state authorities and the State Lands Recovery Committee, and with the effective participation of the security services to ensure that the decisions are implemented with precision and discipline.
The removals included 8 cases of encroachment on agricultural reform lands in the Assiut Center, and 11 cases in the Abnoub Center, which included encroachments on agricultural lands, the Nile Sanctuary, and spatial variables, in addition to the removal of a common case of encroachment on agricultural lands and spatial variables in the centers of Al-Fath, Sidfa, and Al-Ghanaim, as well as two cases of spatial variables within the Gharb neighborhood.
Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr indicated that the removal work took place under the supervision of the Removals Follow-up Unit of the State Property Administration, headed by Ahmed Sayed Tolba, and in coordination with the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network, led by Yahya Zakaria Abu Rahma, with the provision of equipment for the centers and neighborhoods to carry out the tasks according to the predetermined timetable.
The governor confirmed the continuation of campaigns in all centers and neighborhoods to protect state lands and deter any new attempts at encroachment, stressing that immediate legal measures will be taken against violators, calling on citizens to cooperate and report any violations or cases of random construction through the governorate’s operations room through the hotline (114), or the numbers 088/2135858 – 088/2135727, or through the unified government complaints system (16528), stressing that the room works around the clock. 24 hours to receive reports and deal with them as soon as they are received.
