Investigation of those accused of chasing a person with bladed weapons during a wedding party in Matareya
The security services revealed the circumstances of a post supported by a video clip circulated on social networking sites, in which it appears that some people carrying white weapons were chasing another in the Mokattam area in Cairo.
Upon examination, it was revealed that there were no reports in this regard, and it was possible to identify the victim who appeared in the video clip as unemployed – residing in the Mokattam Police Department. By asking him, he determined that a verbal altercation had occurred between him and one of the people, which developed into a quarrel while they were at the wedding of one of their friends. As a result, he sought the help of the rest of the accused and went to his residence, carrying firearms and white weapons, and carried out acts of bullying to intimidate him, without causing any injuries.
It was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the incident, 13 people – residents of the department’s area, and they were in possession of (2 birdshot ammunition – 5 white weapons – a wooden stick), and when confronted, they admitted to committing the incident as referred to, and legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
