Real Madrid decided, according to its official statement published a short while ago, to appoint Alvaro Arbeloa as the new coach of the first team, after he took charge of the Castilla “junior” team since June 2025.

Arbeloa spent his entire coaching career in the Real Madrid Youth Academy since 2020, then led the youth team in the Real Madrid Academy in the 2020-2021 season, achieving the league title, the U-16 team in the 2021-2022 season, and the U-19 team from 2022 to 2025, and achieved the historic treble in the 2022-2023 season (League, King’s Cup, and Champions League), and the Champions League title. League in the 2024-2025 season.

As a player, Alvaro Arbeloa was part of Real Madrid during one of its most successful periods in history, as he wore the team’s shirt between 2009 and 2016, and played 238 official matches during that period, winning 8 titles: “two Champions League titles, one Club World Cup title, one European Super Cup title, one Spanish League title, two Spanish King’s Cup titles, and one Spanish Super Cup title.”
