Today, Sunday, for the second day in a row, the Red Sea Governorate continues to lift the maximum state of emergency, coinciding with expectations of heavy rain that may reach torrential rains.

The Red Sea Governorate has begun implementing a comprehensive plan to raise the maximum levels of preparedness to confront the possibility of heavy rains that may turn into torrential rains, especially on mountain roads and vital axes extending from Ras Gharib in the north to Shalatin in the south, within the framework of a state of complete alertness experienced by the cities of the Red Sea as the peak of weather fluctuations approaches.

These moves come in implementation of the directives of Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, who stressed the need to expedite the review of the preparedness of cities and all emergency facilities, and to implement proactive plans that reduce the size of potential losses and protect lives and facilities.

The company also announced the lifting of the state of emergency in preparation for the rainy and torrential season known annually in the Red Sea, which arrives in large quantities, as part of the crisis and emergency plan that the company has adopted to quickly deal with any accumulations of rainwater.
