The Supply Directorate in Sohag, in coordination with the Medicines Authority, launched a massive campaign that resulted in the seizure of quantities of medicines of unknown origin in an unlicensed store in the city. SohagThis came within the framework of the directives of Major General Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, to intensify oversight of markets and combat all forms of fraud and illicit circulation of medicines.

For his part, Dr. Sameh Al-Tuni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Sohag, explained that the campaign resulted in the seizure of medicines of unknown origin, without invoices or documents indicating the legality of their possession. About 200,000 various medication tablets, 115 packages of ointments, and 165 packages of syrup medications were seized, in addition to 79 packages of ampoules and 120 packages of powder for children. He pointed out that all seized quantities were seized, and the necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident. And present it to the investigating authorities.

The Governor of Sohag stressed the continuation of intensive monitoring campaigns on medical facilities and drug stores, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens, prevent the circulation of unlicensed or unknown source medicines, and take all legal measures against violators to deter them.
