The series proving the lineage of the second episode witnessed an escalation in events surrounding the fate of the child “Ali” and the revelation of new threads from Nawal’s past and her relationship with Hisham.
The episode began with Major Hazem, accompanied by Nawal’s neighbor, going to the hospital where she gave birth to her child, to verify the veracity of her story. However, the nurse shocked them by confirming that Nawal actually gave birth to her child inside the hospital, but he died immediately after birth. She explained that Nawal was taking medications to treat depression that could sometimes cause hallucinatory attacks, noting that she mentioned that she was married to a man named Hisham, without him being present with her during the birth.
In another dramatic line, Hisham’s uncle dies after he stressed before his death his refusal to sell the company, stressing that this decision was his uncle’s will, which paves the way for a new conflict within the family.
On the other hand, Hajj Mustafa, Nawal’s father, escalates his crisis with Dr. Ayman, demanding that he pay five million pounds, or vacate the warehouse and pharmacy that he rents from him, so that financial pressures increase and relations between the characters become more complicated.
The events continue when Nawal’s neighbor tries to get close to her to find out her full story, so the episode takes us back to the “flashback” scenes revealing the opening day of her pharmacy in the presence of her family, her former fiancé, and her partner, Dr. Ayman. During these memories, Nawal confesses her desire to travel to obtain a scholarship outside Egypt, but her father strongly rejects the matter, and her attempts to convince him fail.
Nawal later reveals the details of her acquaintance with Hisham, who had a fleeting meeting in a restaurant, before the relationship quickly developed into a secret marriage, which prompted her to leave her family’s home without them knowing any details about her new life or her place of residence.
Hisham convinces Nawal that he lives in London, and tells her that she will travel there after the birth of their child, “Ali.” He also claims that he is constantly worried about her because of his uncle, and is forced to steal a sum of money from him, in a move that reveals a dark side of his personality.
The episode concludes with a scene charged with tension, in which Hisham appears with his cousins during the opening of the will, which reveals the uncle’s surrender of his entire wealth to his wife Enas and his son Khaled, in addition to his surrender of the company to his nephew Hisham, sparking a conflict between them with the beginning of a new battle over the inheritance and the will.
