The referees of the Premier League Championship are awaiting the disbursement of a new batch of their dues in the coming hours, coinciding with the return of the tournament competitions after being suspended for more than 50 days due to the Egyptian national team’s participation in the 2025 African Nations Championship.

Premier League referees are awaiting the payment of November and December dues

Cairo 24 learned that the Referees Committee has received repeated questions in recent days from Premier League referees regarding their entitlements for the matches they officiated last November and December.

The referees received assurances from the committee that these dues will be paid soon after the return of Football Association officials from Morocco, following the end of the Egyptian national team’s participation in the African Nations Championship, where it is expected that in the coming hours the checks for the referees’ dues will be signed in preparation for their disbursement.

In another context, the referees committee held the physical test “Warner test” yesterday evening for the second batch of referees. This batch includes the Premier League referees who did not undergo the physical test with the first batch, in addition to the referees of the Second Division “A” league tournament (the professional league).

According to the instructions of Oscar Ruiz, Chairman of the Referees Committee, passing the Warner test will be a condition for assigning match management in the next period of the league to any of the referees.
If any referee fails the Cooper test scheduled to be conducted before the league resumes, the referee will be excluded from officiating matches for the end of the season, or at least until he retakes the test at a later time and passes the test successfully.
