Tahta General Hospital witnessed the performance of a number of delicate surgical operations in the orthopedic department, with the full readiness of the medical and nursing teams and in accordance with the highest standards of medical quality and health care.

The first case included a 3-year-old girl suffering from a fracture of the bones of the left elbow joint below the humerus. Surgery was performed to reduce and stabilize the fracture using metal wires. The operation was performed by Dr. Joseph Ishaq, orthopedic specialist, Dr. Ahmed Adel, orthopedic specialist, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Shimi, deputy orthopedist.
The second case included an 11-year-old child suffering from a fracture of the right femur. Surgery was performed to reduce and stabilize the fracture using two spinal nails. The operation was performed by Dr. Joseph Ishaq, orthopedic specialist, Dr. Ahmed Adel, orthopedic specialist, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Shimi, deputy orthopedist.
The third case also included a 15-year-old young man suffering from a fracture of the right leg bone. The fracture was repaired and stabilized using two spinal nails. The operation was performed by Dr. Khaled Mahran, orthopedic specialist, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Al-Shimi, deputy orthopedist.
Dr. Ahmed Zaid, Director of Tahta General Hospital, confirmed that all operations were completed successfully, with good stability of the fractures and the stability of the patients’ health condition, and they are being followed up medically within the hospital. This achievement comes within the framework of Tahta General Hospital’s keenness to develop specialized surgical services and provide safe and integrated health care to patients around the clock through qualified medical and nursing teams trained at the highest level.
This was within the framework of the directives of Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag Governorate, and in fulfillment of the Ministry of Health’s vision of providing a safe and integrated treatment service to patients. Under the supervision and follow-up of Dr. Ahmed Zaid, Director of Tahta General Hospital, the hospital’s orthopedic department continued to achieve distinguished successes in the field of specialized surgical interventions.
