The Port Said Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Mohieddin Ismail Mohieddin, and with the membership of Counselors Gamal Saeed Al-Rahmani, Ahmed Amin Abdel Hamid, and the secretariat of Khaled Khudair and Walid Metwally, decided to reserve the case of the accused of killing his wife by stabbing her 20 times inside the marital residence, to pronounce the ruling in next Tuesday’s session.

During today’s session, the court heard the Public Prosecution’s plea, which confirmed the heinousness of the crime and the cruelty and devoid of feelings it entailed, noting that the accused stabbed his wife 20 penetrating stab wounds, then slit her throat in a shocking scene. The prosecution demanded that the maximum penalty be imposed on the accused, which is death by hanging.

The court also heard the defendant’s statements and the arguments of his defense, before deciding to reserve the case for judgment.
