His Holiness Pope Tawadros II met today, Friday, at the papal headquarters in Cairo, with the participating church delegation, within the delegation of the Eastern Orthodox family, in a visit to the Vatican at the invitation of the Vatican’s Department for Promoting Christian Unity.

The delegation submitted a report to His Holiness the Pope about the week-long visit (January 31 – February 7), which included a visit to the Vatican with all its affiliated bodies and academic institutes, during which they met with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and a number of Vatican leaders.
The delegation consisted of the Rev. Andrew Bishop Bishoy, the Rev. Michael Ishaq, the priest of the Church of the Martyr Abu Seifin in Hadayek Al-Qubba, and the Rev. Antonius Girgis, the priest of the Church of St. Mark the Apostle in the Barzaqa of the Muharraq Monastery.
