One person was killed and another injured in a horrific collision accident in the Shatby area on the Alexandria Corniche, where a private car penetrated the Corniche sidewalk, collided with the concrete barrier “blocks,” and fell onto the beach.
The security services received notification of a collision in the Shatby area in central Alexandria, and security forces and ambulances immediately moved to the location of the report.
Upon examination, it was found that a speeding car lost its steering wheel in the hands of its driver, which resulted in it crossing the Corniche sidewalk, colliding with the concrete barrier, and landing on the beach, resulting in the death of a person who happened to be sitting on the concrete barrier, and the injury of another.
Meanwhile, equipment was deployed to lift the car from the beach, and a report was filed regarding the incident.
Three people were injured as a result of a microbus collision the day before yesterday with another car on the highway in front of the Police Hospital in Alexandria.
The incident began when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a rescue notification reporting a two-car collision on the highway.
Immediately, the security services, accompanied by ambulances, moved to the site of the report and imposed a security cordon to try to clear the road.
The examination revealed that 3 people, a driver and two students, were injured and were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident.
