
Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, received a delegation of farmers and beneficiaries of agricultural reform in Beheira Governorate, in the presence of Representative Mohamed Ezzat Arafat, a member of the House of Representatives, in an expanded meeting aimed at overcoming all obstacles facing farmers and discussing ways to facilitate them, within the framework of the periodic meetings that the Minister holds with farmers.
During the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture directed the General Authority for Agrarian Reform to disburse all due and remaining quantities of fertilizers to the beneficiaries immediately, stressing that the Ministry will not allow any obstacles to prevent the fertilizers from reaching the serious farmers who deserve them. He also stressed that the distribution of fertilizers should not be linked to the debts owed, and that the fertilizers should be disbursed to the beneficiaries without linking them to any debts.
In response to the demands presented by farmers and beneficiaries, the Minister directed to accelerate the pace of “legalization” procedures, after the issuance of the executive regulations of Law No. 168 of 2025, regarding the legalization of monopolies and agricultural lands, stressing that the stability of the legal status of farms is the basis of agricultural development, and that the state aims to enable the farmer from his land to work in an atmosphere of safety and stability to ensure increased productivity.
New facilitations from agricultural reform… stopping criminal records and paying dues twice to take into account the social dimension of farmers
Farouk, Executive Director of the General Authority for Agrarian Reform, directed to stop issuing any criminal records against beneficiaries who are serious about paying state dues during the year while paying old dues, and for payment to be made twice a year, taking into account the social dimension and economic conditions of the beneficiaries, which achieves a balance between collecting state dues and the social interest of the most needy groups in the agricultural sector. He stressed the warning to all reform directorates and regions, to take all necessary measures that would facilitate farmers and beneficiaries.
For his part, Representative Muhammad Ezzat Arafat praised the minister’s keenness to listen directly to the problems of Beheira Governorate farmers, praising the speed of response and the decisions that were taken during the meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the farmers and beneficiaries of the agricultural reform expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Agriculture for the good reception and the spirit of cooperation they experienced, stressing that these steps give them a strong impetus to continue working and producing, and confirm the Ministry’s keenness to protect the rights of the Egyptian farmer and address his problems on the ground.
