Moroccan Raja closes the door on Al-Ahly to include Belamri
According to the Moroccan national team newspaper, negotiations between Raja’s management, Youssef Belamri, and his agent are moving in the right direction, after the player adhered to his financial demands during the coming period.
Moroccan reports indicated that Raja’s management refuses to dispense with Belamri, amid a state of optimism about reaching a final agreement with the player and signing contracts, amid anticipation from Al-Ahly about the player’s position.
The newspaper quoted the statements of Jawad El-Zayat, president of Moroccan Raja, during which he stressed the club’s refusal to dispense with the left-back, stressing that he is part of the sports club’s project and the main goal is to extend his contract for an additional period, not his departure.
According to what a Moroccan newspaper reported earlier, Youssef Belamri’s agent requested about $700,000 in exchange for renewing the player’s contract, which expires at the end of next June, while the club’s offer stopped at $518,000. However, there is openness among the player and his agent to continuing negotiations.
During the recent period, Al-Ahly entered into strong negotiations to sign Youssef Belamri during the upcoming winter transfer period, to support the Red Team’s defensive line in the current season.
Youssef Belamri is considered one of the candidates to join Morocco’s final list in the African Nations, which is scheduled to be announced by Walid Regragui, the Atlas Lions’ technical director, during the coming period.
