The presidency of the center and city of Tala in Menoufia Governorate, in cooperation with the Supply Directorate, launched at dawn today a large ration campaign to inspect bakeries, within the framework of tightening control over the subsidized bread system, ensuring that support reaches those who deserve it, and improving the quality of the loaf provided to citizens.
Menoufia Supply released 55 preparations for Tala bakeries this morning
The campaign targeted the bakeries of the city of Tala, in addition to the bakeries located within the local units of Tabloha, Zarqan, Toukh, and Meet Abu Al-Koum, as part of an expanded plan to follow up on compliance with food controls and instructions regulating work within bakeries, and to ensure the application of standard specifications for the loaf.

The campaign came with the participation of the Supply Administration and the Environmental Improvement Department, and in full coordination with the relevant agencies, as a large number of bakeries were visited during the early hours of the morning, and the weights, quality of bread, level of cleanliness, and extent of commitment to announcing prices and disbursing bread to citizens were examined.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of 55 various ration reports, which included violations of underweight, non-compliance with specifications, lack of cleanliness, lack of advertisement, and failure to give cash, in addition to other violations that were monitored during field inspections.
The presidency of the Tala Center and City confirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the violating bakeries, and the competent authorities have been notified to take the necessary measures in accordance with the law, with an emphasis on the continuation of sudden and periodic campaigns, and not tolerating any violations that affect the rights of citizens or affect the quality of bread.
She added that the ration campaigns will continue during the coming period, in implementation of the governorate’s directives, and in order to control the markets, achieve discipline within the bakeries, and maintain the support provided to citizens in its correct form.
