On Thursday evening, Matrouh Governorate celebrated the anniversary of the night of Isra and Mi’raj, at Al-Tanaim Mosque in Marsa Matrouh, in the presence of Dr. Islam Rajab, Deputy Governor of Matrouh, acting for Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, Major General Magdy Al-Wassif, General Secretary, Engineer Hussein Al-Sanaini, Assistant General Secretary, Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, and Mayor Abdel Moneim Israfil, deputy head of the Council of Mayors and Sheikhs, along with Sheikh Ahmed Abdel Azim, Director General of the Dar Al-Iftaa branch in Matrouh, Sheikh Abdel-Hakim Sultan, Director General of the Waaz Matrouh region, a number of deputy ministries, heads and directors of directorates and departments in the governorate, and sheikhs of Al-Azhar and Endowments.
In his speech, Dr. Islam Rajab, Deputy Governor, conveyed the congratulations and greetings of Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, to the attendees, to all the people of the governorate, and to all the Egyptian people, on the occasion of this blessed anniversary, stressing that the Isra and Mi’raj incident was not just a historical event, but rather a divine miracle and a great station of faith, in honor of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and informing the nation and the world of his great status before his Lord, and evidence of God’s great honor for him, in confirmation of his saying. Almighty:
{Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque} [الإسراء: 1]Pointing out that this miracle embodies the meanings of trust in God, sincere faith, and steadfastness in the face of trials.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Matrouh, confirmed that the Night of Isra and Mi’raj carries great lessons, foremost of which is the greatness of trust in God, and the relief it brings after hardship, and ease after hardship, citing the Almighty’s saying:
{For with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease} [الشرح: 5–6]explaining that the gift may come from the womb of adversity, and that the more adversity reaches its peak, the closer God’s relief becomes.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments explained that the Matrouh Endowments Directorate organized similar celebrations in fifteen mosques in various sub-departments at the governorate level, in implementation of the directorate’s plan to generalize the celebration, and to provide the opportunity for the largest number of citizens to participate in this solemn occasion.
Through these activities, the Matrouh Endowments Directorate confirmed its continued performance of its advocacy and educational role, linking society to its authentic religious values, and imitating the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said:
“How amazing is the believer’s situation; All of his affairs are good for him” (Narrated by Muslim), indicating that the celebration comes within the framework of the Ministry of Endowments’ keenness to revive great religious occasions, consolidate their faith and educational meanings in the souls of citizens, and promote moderate values ​​and national belonging.
The celebration witnessed a number of religious segments, which included the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, recited by His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Salah Shenishen, in addition to an interlude of religious supplications and supplications presented by the international vocalist Omar Ahmed Hashad, in a spiritual atmosphere that reflected the greatness of the occasion and its place in the conscience of the nation.
