Today, the government held its meeting in the new capital, headed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, which began by referring to the opening of the Fourth International Defense Industries Exhibition (EDEX 2025) by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, extending his sincere greetings and appreciation to the armed forces. For the distinguished organization of this exhibition, considering that it has now occupied a global position in the military and security industries system, as it receives a wide presence from major international companies, and achieves interaction between senior military officials, government decision-makers, and companies producing armament and defense systems from various parts of the world, and represents an opportunity to exchange experiences with the review of the latest developments in military technology, and the advanced technologies it has achieved.
The second tax facilitation package
The Prime Minister also touched on the proceedings of the meeting, which was chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and witnessed the President being briefed on the features and details of the second tax facilitation package, which comes under the title “Supporting and Stimulating Tax Compliance,” with directives to launch that package; Emphasizing the importance of continuing to develop the tax system and building new relationships between the parties to the tax system. Based on trust, credibility and certainty, while improving tax services, providing additional facilities, and building confidence with investors.
The Prime Minister confirmed that this package is being discussed today during the government meeting.
In another context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly congratulated Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, on the occasion of Egypt’s victory in a seat in the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in the elections that took place amidst international praise for the growing Egyptian role in supporting the global maritime transport system. He also thanked the men of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and members of the Egyptian Embassy in London for their great and influential efforts in this file, and considered that this step is added to the record of the Egyptian state’s successes. In confirming its leadership and weight in international forums, and enhancing the international community’s confidence in its capabilities and the results of its constant efforts to develop in various development fields.
On the level of sporting achievement, the Prime Minister expressed his sincere congratulations to the Egyptian karate team, adults and people with special needs, on the historic achievement achieved by Egypt topping the overall ranking of countries in the world in the World Karate Championship, which Egypt recently hosted, considering that this achievement confirms confidence in the ability of our sporting champions to achieve achievements in various sporting competitions, and reinforces the keenness to provide support from the state to sponsor champions in various sports, to provide a performance that reflects Egypt’s status and global leadership.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also reviewed – during the meeting – the most prominent government activities that have taken place recently, which aim to enhance development and development efforts in various sectors. He pointed to the signing of a contract to establish an integrated complex for phosphate chemical industries in the Suez Canal Economic Zone within the city of “Sokhna 360”, which he considered a new step within a sustainable process of diligent work to increase the confidence of global partners in order to attract investments in priority sectors in the industrial field, in an effort to support national production capabilities, increase job and employment opportunities, and drive exports. Egyptian.
The Prime Minister touched on the progress of his expanded tour last Saturday with a number of projects to revitalize Cairo’s historic areas, to determine the progress of their completion rates and push work on them to achieve the goals of restoring Cairo’s splendor and its civilized appearance, to enhance its value as an attractive tourist destination, while preserving its urban character. He added that during the tour he visited the “Rawdat Al-Sayyida 2” project, which complements the success of the “Rawdat Al-Sayyida 1” project in improving the quality of life for residents of the region. He also reviewed the plans for implementing “Rawdat Al-Sayyida 2.” Mrs. 3″ in an effort to ensure the quality of life for a larger segment, and to achieve the civilizational and humanitarian goals of this project and its inspiring experience.
