Life imprisonment for a woman on charges of disposing of her infant in Suez
A source told Cairo 24 that the accused admitted during the investigations that she had gotten rid of her baby for fear of scandal, so she would be referred to the Suez Criminal Court, which issued its earlier ruling.
The Suez Criminal Court had sentenced a famous businessman in Suez Governorate to life imprisonment, after convicting him of committing immoral acts against his youngest daughter, taking advantage of her mother’s absence.
It was decided to refer the accused to the Criminal Court, after receiving a report accusing him of assaulting his daughter.
The referral decision, of which Cairo 24 obtained a scan, stated that the accused assaulted the victim, who was 11 years old, by force, threatening to harm her and her mother if she did not comply with his orders, taking advantage of his parental authority and his isolation with her within the family residence.
