Today, Friday, the seventh round matches of the Men’s Basketball Premier League tournament for the 2025-2026 sports season will begin.
Today will witness the holding of 4 strong matches, as Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad will meet at six in the evening, while Petrojet will face its counterpart Sporting, and Smouha will face Al-Jazira Club at six in the evening.
The round matches will conclude with a match between Zamalek and Telecom Egypt at 8:30 pm.
The Allianz Premier League ranking round competitions are held in a home-and-away system between the eight participating teams, with the winner receiving two points and one point for the loser, in order to rank the teams from first to eighth and determine the quarter-final matches.
Eight teams participate in the ranking round: Al-Ahly, Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, Zamalek, Sporting, Al-Jazira, Telecom Egypt, Petrojet, and Smouha.
The Allianz Basketball Premier League is the most prominent tournament in the local season, as its champion qualifies for the African League, which represents the gateway to the Club World Cup. Allianz League matches are broadcast live on the Basketball Association’s YouTube channel.
