Dr. Eid Ali Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, said In AssiutHe launched a surprise inspection campaign on a number of mosques of the Endowments Administration north of the city of Assiut and Al-Fath Qebli to ensure the extent of compliance with the controls and instructions regulating preaching work, and included monitoring the level of general cleanliness in the mosques, and preparing them to receive worshipers in an atmosphere befitting the sanctity of the houses of God.
Intensive inspection campaigns
He added that during the tour, the mosques’ status books were inspected, to ensure the regularity of daily attendance, the progress of work inside the mosque, and to review the preaching activities in accordance with the ministry’s instructions.
He stressed on imams the need to fully adhere to the official Al-Azhar uniform while performing their duties, to be disciplined and adhere to the time of the Friday sermon, and to adhere to the unified topic issued by the Ministry, in a way that ensures the unity and effectiveness of the preaching message.
These tours come within the directives of the Ministry of Endowments regarding the necessity of continuous field monitoring of mosques, in order to preserve their prestige, and to enhance their pivotal role in building awareness and spreading religious and national values.
