The security services in the governorate managed to… Alexandria Who prevented the disaster at the top of the Amriya Bridge, in the early hours of this morning, when the steering wheel of a vehicle transporting petroleum supplies carrying 29,000 liters of 95 gasoline became loose.

The incident began when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a rescue notification stating that traffic had been disrupted above the Amriya Bridge in the direction of Cairo due to a malfunction in a vehicle transporting petroleum supplies.
Immediately, the security services from the Amriya First and Second Police Department, Civil Protection, and the General Traffic Department moved in and imposed a security cordon around the place to prevent petroleum materials from leaking or flames reaching them.
The initial inspection revealed a malfunction in the steering wheel, which caused it to deviate, collide with road dividers, break 4 dividers, and have two dividers located under the car, which prevented it from moving and stopped traffic in both directions.
After the arrival of the security forces, the road could be moved in the direction of Alexandria to reduce traffic congestion, and the insurance work continued from 1 a.m. until 4.5 p.m. until it was possible to tow it and re-route the road again.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident.
