Hossam Ashour, the former Al-Ahly club and Egyptian national team star, confirmed that the Egyptian national team performed well against Angola despite the major changes made by the technical staff led by Hossam Hassan.

Hossam Ashour said, in television statements: I was hoping that Hossam Hassan would change only 5 players in the Angola match and not 11 players at once, and it would have been better to mix the players to maintain balance.
Hossam Ashour added: It would have been better for Imam Ashour to participate so that he would be ready for the next stage, and the Egyptian national team played the match well and we were able to win, but we wasted more than one opportunity.
Hossam Ashour pointed out that the most important thing is that the team leads the group, and facing Benin next will be difficult despite the African team’s good classification.
Ashour also praised Muhannad Lashin’s performance, as he played an outstanding match until he was injured, pointing out that the player has good receiving and receiving skills, and was effective in covering behind the defense players.
The Egyptian national team is preparing to begin its preparations for the round of 16 match in the 2025 African Nations Championship, which is scheduled to be held next Monday at Adrar Stadium in Agadir, Morocco.
