The Islamic Research Academy at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif issued the month of Dhul-Qi’dah issue for the year 1447 AH of Al-Azhar magazine, which is published at the beginning of every Hijri month, including a special file on the Hajj obligation and the profound meanings of faith it carries, which contribute to consolidating the values ​​of servitude and detachment to God Almighty, and enhance the unity and integration of Muslims.

A book as a gift for readers was published with this month’s issue entitled: (Hajj and Umrah) by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Mufti of the Republic and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Magazine.

Dr. Muhammad al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, said: Al-Azhar Magazine is moving steadily towards presenting a sober scientific discourse that keeps pace with the challenges of the times, and re-presents major issues in the light of a conscious, intentional understanding that contributes to building a balanced awareness that combines authenticity and disciplined openness.

Dr. Al-Jundi explained that choosing Hajj as the subject of this issue’s file comes from the fact that it is one of the greatest seasons of faith education. It reflects the meanings of discipline and detachment, and the restructuring of man’s self-awareness and his relationship with his Lord and society, stressing that the magazine aims to provide a deep treatment that goes beyond the traditional presentation to a conscious reading of the messages of this obligation in contemporary reality.

For his part, Dr. confirmed. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of the Republic and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Azhar Magazine, said that this issue presents an integrated scientific approach to the Hajj obligation, highlighting its educational and cultural dimensions, and revealing its ability to build a more aware, committed and responsible human being.

Dr. Ayyad pointed out that the magazine adopts in this issue a balanced approach that combines legal foundations and contemporary treatment, by addressing topics that affect people’s reality. Among them: employing modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence, to manage crowds and reduce congestion. This contributes to facilitating the performance of rituals and achieving the highest levels of organization and safety.

In the same context, Dr. Hassan Khalil, Assistant Secretary-General for Islamic Culture and supervisor of issuing Al-Azhar magazine, stated that the issue’s file reflects the magazine’s orientation towards providing qualitative content that combines scientific depth and connection to reality, through articles and studies by an elite group of scholars and specialists, dealing with the role of Hajj in achieving slavery, and its humanitarian dimensions, as well as anticipating Prospects for developing ritual management using contemporary tools.

Al-Azhar magazine, the first issue of which was published in 1349 AH = 1930 AD, is sold for ten pounds, and subscriptions to it are open by contacting the General Administration of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Magazine at the Islamic Research Academy on Al-Tayaran Street in Nasr City, or by contacting the subscriptions department at Al-Ahram Foundation.
