The meetings were attended by leaders from the Federation of Italian Industries, Dr. Mahmoud Hamzawy, Director of the Minister’s Office, Saeed Mohamed, Head of the Labor Representation Office in Italy, and Commercial Attaché Mohamed Wahba.

The meetings included representatives of a number of Italian agencies and institutions working in the fields of employment and technical and vocational training, where the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gebran, met with Federico Piazzo, Director of Innovation and Training at Orienta, and Euclidi Della Vista, President of the ITS Apulia Digital Academy, in addition to the leaders of the ITS Meccatronico Lazio Academy, namely Mima Barbati, Executive Director, Massimo Bricaglia, Head of the International Relations Office, and Eletta Fiorini, Team Leader for Designing, Managing, and Preparing Grant Programs. During the meetings, His Excellency the Minister reviewed the efforts of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Labor in developing the vocational training system and preparing qualified technical cadres in accordance with international standards, in order to meet the needs of the Italian labor market in a number of vital specializations. He also reviewed the protocols signed with the private sector in the field of vocational training, including the cooperation protocol with the Salesian Institute, stressing the readiness of the Ministry’s training centers for joint cooperation and implementing specialized training programs according to the actual needs of Italian companies.

The Minister of Labor called on representatives of Italian recruitment and training companies to recruit trained Egyptian workers through direct and organized cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Labor, and in coordination with the Egyptian Labor Representation Office in Italy, in a way that ensures the provision of decent and safe job opportunities, preserves workers’ rights and achieves the interests of employers.

For their part, representatives of Italian employment and training companies and institutions stressed the importance of activating cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Labor during the next stage, pointing out that the Italian market is in increasing need for skilled and trained technical workers, and that the Egyptian experience in the field of vocational training represents a promising opportunity to build long-term partnerships based on exchanging experiences, designing joint training programs, and linking training with direct employment, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the Italian labor market and supporting regular and organized employment paths for Egyptian workers… The two sides also confirmed at the conclusion of the meetings that this The visit represents a practical step towards deepening the Egyptian-Italian partnership in the fields of training and employment, and opening new horizons for cooperation that will reflect positively on the interests of both countries and enhance decent employment opportunities for Egyptian youth abroad.
