Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira, confirmed the intensification of monitoring campaigns on markets, shops, food chains, and Welcome Ramadan exhibitions in various cities and centers of the governorate.

The governorate stressed the need for full coordination between the local units and the directorates of supply, health, veterinary medicine, supply investigations, and all regulatory agencies, for intensive field visits to markets, ensuring the availability of basic and strategic goods in sufficient quantities, controlling prices, and obliging merchants to clearly announce the prices of goods.
It also stressed dealing firmly with any attempts to manipulate prices, monopolize goods, or hide them, while taking immediate legal measures against violators, within the framework of the state’s keenness to protect citizens and ensure the stability of markets, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar also emphasized the continuous monitoring of exhibitions and outlets selling food commodities, and ensuring the quality of the supply and its availability at reduced prices, which contributes to alleviating the burdens on citizens, noting that the governorate will spare no effort in taking all measures that ensure market discipline and the availability of goods for citizens.
