The tournament draw has begun Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026, this evening, Thursday, at the Mohammed V Complex, which Morocco will host during the coming period.
The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations competitions will take place from the seventeenth of next March until the third of April 2026, with the participation of 16 teams for the first time, in addition to the participation of the Egyptian women’s national team.
The draw for the African Cup of Nations for Women in Football resulted in the Egyptian national team being among the teams in the third group of the African Cup of Nations, along with Nigeria, the historical champion of the tournament, along with Zambia and Malawi.
It is worth noting that the Zambian national team has previously won the bronze medal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, 2022 edition, and is participating for the fifth time, while the Malawi national team is playing for the first time.
The 2026 African Nations draw for women was as follows:
The first group: Morocco – Algeria – Senegal – Kenya.
Group Two: South Africa – Côte d’Ivoire – Burkina Faso – Tanzania.
Group Three: Nigeria – Zambia – Egypt – Malawi.
Group Four: Ghana – Cameroon – Mali – Cape Verde.
