Tariq Yahya, the former Zamalek star, commented on Odeh Imam Ashour The Al-Ahly player is on the red list that is preparing to face the Royal Army, this Sunday evening, in the African Champions League competitions, stressing that he does not expect the punishment to affect his technical or psychological level in the league or African matches.

Tariq Yahya said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: I do not think that the punishment will affect the level of Imam Ashour, as he is a professional player and has the necessary focus to overcome any situation.
He added that the material punishment was sufficient, and that the player could have been allowed to participate in matches with Al-Ahly, so that the team would not lose an influential element on the field.
The former Zamalek player touched on the competition in the Premier League, explaining that the results are what determine the advantage for any team, stressing that Zamalek was able to return in the last matches and closely chase the summit.
He explained that the white team remains competitive even in the most difficult circumstances, stressing that the recent results are the best evidence of its psychological and technical readiness to compete with Al-Ahly and Pyramids until the last moment.
Regarding the departure of Nasser Maher, the Zamalek player, to Pyramids and the speed of his adaptation to the new team, Tariq Yahya said that his departure was permissible in light of the team’s financial distress, considering that the club made a logical decision in this context.
Al-Ahly’s roster to face the Royal Moroccan Army witnessed the return of Imam Ashour, the team’s player, after being absent for 14 days, in implementation of the suspension penalty, due to his failure to travel with Al-Ahmar to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly will face its counterpart, the Royal Army, this Sunday evening, at six in the evening, at Cairo International Stadium, in the sixth and final round of the African Champions League.
