During the past few hours, social media platforms, including Facebook, witnessed the spread of a song entitled “O Prophet, Peace be upon you” containing offensive expressions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, which sparked a widespread wave of anger among website users, and led to the spread of repeated calls to submit official reports against the author of the song.

It turned out that the song was not voiced by the well-known singer Maher Zain, but was performed by another person named Omar Kosha, who used the name of the song itself while changing its lyrics to offensive content, relying on familiar tones of the most famous songs.

Omar Kosha posted this song on his personal Facebook account, along with many other videos insulting the prophets and religious symbols, which was considered a clear violation of the Islamic religion and its sanctities.

Social media users revolted immediately after the song spread, and hashtags demanded that the person responsible be investigated and held legally accountable.
