US President Donald said Trump He will try to bring together President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, in order to discuss the Renaissance Dam crisis, in a move aimed at containing the tension related to the water file between the two countries.
Trump praised the Egyptian President, describing him as a “great leader” and one of the main pillars that contributed to consolidating peace in the Middle East, stressing that relations between the United States and Egypt are “wonderful and successful.”
The US President indicated that Ethiopia built a dam that blocks water from Egypt, in reference to the Renaissance Dam, considering that the issue represents an important challenge that requires direct dialogue between the parties concerned.
Trump pointed out that there are a large number of countries seeking to join the International Peace Council, without going into further details.
