Social media users circulated a post by a young man who wanted to attend Good Friday in a church because of his intense love for the ancient Egyptian language, which prompted a number of attendees of the Mass on Good Friday to film video clips and send them to him, and to communicate with him through a video call during prayer.
First, the young man, Mohamed Magdy, shared a post on his Facebook page about his wish to attend Good Friday, in which he said:
Today is Good Friday, a blessed and holy Friday. I hope you have acceptable prayers and days full of blessings and peace. For years, I have wanted to attend Good Friday prayers in church, and even though I know that the Boy Scouts who see the cards are a little strict in organization, they are, of course, excused because of what we saw a long time ago, but this dream is still real inside me.
He added: I can’t imagine how I would feel if I heard the melody of Golgotha Live at the end of the prayer, and I could hear the oldest melody in the world playing in front of me!
I cannot comprehend that I could hear a chant to the same tune that was played at the royal funeral and farewell to the great kings of Egypt, such as Khufu, Ramesses II, and Thutmose III, also playing with the same ancient Egyptian musical instruments, such as the triangle and the gong, and shaking the place after thousands of years!
He continued, “I can’t believe that I can feel the echo and greatness of my ancestors, and I feel that awe will fill my heart at that time, and the situation in relation to me will be majestic and majestic.”
A few days after Good Friday, the young man shared another post that said:
I wrote a simple post on Good Friday in which I said that I hoped to hear a certain melody played on this day, and I was surprised by an extraordinary amount of love, about 3,000 comments, all of them praying for happiness, health, and beauty for me and my mother.
He continued: After thousands of comments, I received hundreds of private messages, all words of kindness and love from people who were not there, and at 6 or 7 o’clock at night I received dozens of messages. Suddenly, when I opened them, I found audio recordings and videos (like the ones in these pictures).
He continued: People were at the peak of their reverence in the church, and at the end of the prayer, when the melody played, they thought of me and I came to their mind, and they recorded and sent it so that I could hear and see with them!
There were even people who called me on a call live video so I could be present at the scene with audio and video!
The post received widespread interaction across social media platforms and topped the trend over the past few days.
