Major General Amr Al-Gharib, the new governor of Menoufia, held an expanded meeting today with officials of the service directorates. To follow up on the final preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the necessity of complete readiness in all sectors, to ensure the provision of basic services and goods to citizens, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership.
The meeting was attended by Muhammad Musa, deputy GovernorOsama Ezz El-Din, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Dr. Amr Mostafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Moawad Hammad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, Dr. Walaa Abdel Razek, Director of the Menoufia Ambulance Authority, Colonel Ahmed Abu Al-Saud, Head of Supply Investigations, and Brigadier General Mohamed Adly, Director of the Menoufia Traffic Department.
During the meeting, each directorate reviewed its plan in preparation for the holy month, as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply confirmed the availability of all stocks of food and basic commodities and petroleum materials, while intensifying control campaigns on markets and bakeries, and confronting attempts to monopolize goods and control prices.
The governor stressed on the supply officials, saying: There is no supply inspector sitting in his office, and people must feel the field presence in the street. He directed the launch of surprise inspection campaigns on municipal bakeries to ensure the weight and quality of the loaf of bread, and to prepare daily reports on all needs and requirements to work to provide them immediately.
In the health sector, the governor confirmed that all health facilities have been raised to the maximum level of readiness, and the availability of medical supplies, with the continuation of field follow-ups from the Preventive Medicine Department, and the continued work of health offices throughout the day. He also reassured the readiness of the ambulance service in terms of the availability of equipped vehicles, deployment plans, and full coordination with the Health Directorate to deal with any emergency.
The meeting also discussed the traffic management plan to reduce crowding during the month of Ramadan, immediately deal with occupancy and monitor parking, in addition to the Endowments Directorate’s plan regarding the readiness of mosques and receiving worshipers, and the implementation of the preaching plan to spread the tolerant values of Islam and enlightened moderate thought.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of Menoufia stressed that meeting the citizen’s requirements and improving the quality of the services provided are the top priorities, stressing the focus on what concerns the citizen within the work agenda during the next stage.
