The Ministry of Health and Population provided a set of instructions to citizens when eating fesikh and herring, to reduce the risk of food poisoning during Sham El Nessim celebrations.

The Ministry explained that it is recommended to avoid drinking soft drinks, while eating a lot of leafy vegetables such as lettuce, arugula, parsley, and celery, because of their role in improving digestion and reducing the effect of salts.

She also stressed the importance of drinking large amounts of water before eating fesikh and herring, in addition to eating complex starches such as brown bread, to help reduce the absorption of fats and salts.

She also recommended drinking hot drinks, such as green tea, hibiscus, and star anise, to help clean the digestive system, while avoiding fatty meals the next day.

The Ministry of Health and Population warned citizens of the seriousness of some symptoms of food poisoning, especially mumbai poisoning, stressing the need to deal with them immediately to avoid serious complications.

The Ministry explained that the most prominent symptoms include blurred eyes, dry throat and larynx, followed by difficulty speaking, in addition to difficulty swallowing, feeling dizzy and general muscle weakness.

She stressed that if any of these symptoms appear, you must immediately go to the nearest health facility or contact the emergency numbers 137 and 16474, to obtain the Mmbari poisoning vaccine as soon as possible, stressing that the speed of medical intervention represents a decisive factor in saving the lives of those infected.
