The jury of the State of Recitation program presented a technical evaluation of the performance of contestant Muhammad Abu Al-Ela during today’s episode, praising the beauty of his voice and his ability to perform, while recording some observations related to controlling the frequency and pronunciation of some words.

During the episode, contestant Muhammad Abu Al-Ela revealed his preference for recitation at night, stressing that his voice is at its best compared to the daytime period, during which he feels a bit of vocal lethargy, which is reflected in his performance during recitation.

The State of Recitation jury praises the voice of contestant Muhammad Abu Al-Ela

For his part, Sheikh Hassan Abdel Nabi, representative of the Qur’an Review Committee at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, confirmed that the contestant’s rulings were perfect and the reading was perfect, pointing at the same time to a note related to the pronunciation of the word “Al-Rahman” in a way that differs from “Al-Rahim,” in addition to the unevenness of the strings that cross the sukun in some places.

In the same context, the Maqamat expert said that Muhammad Abu Al-Ela’s performance was “Minshawi to the core,” pointing out that in his previous participation he was committed to the style of Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi only, while today’s recitation witnessed clearer diversification and intelligent use of vocal instruments, and the contestant commented on this, stressing that this diversification came by pure coincidence.

As for Dr. Ahmed Naina, the sheikh of all Egyptian reciters, he explained that Al-Madud’s recitation of the contestant was not equal, despite his beautiful voice, indicating that he clearly imitates Sheikh Al-Minshawi, but he departed from this framework in the middle of the recitation by using Maqam Al-Nahawand, in an attempt to diversify the maqamat.

These evaluations come within the professional framework adopted by the State of Recitation Jury, which seeks to highlight the strengths of the contestants, while providing accurate observations that help them develop the performance and achieve a balance between the beauty of the voice, the soundness of the judgments, and the diversity of the situation.
