The city of Belbeis in Sharkia Governorate witnessed a tragic incident, after a 13-year-old girl was assaulted by a young man.
According to preliminary investigations, the accused lured the little girl to a place away from the eyes of citizens, assaulted her by force, then tried to attack her eyes and try to gouge them out to prevent her from recognizing him, which resulted in her sustaining serious injuries, and she was transferred to the hospital in a difficult psychological and physical condition.
After receiving the report, the security services moved to the scene of the incident, the accused was arrested, legal procedures were legalized against him, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and it is being presented to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations.
