New developments after two and a half months of investigations, witnessed in the case of the death of the artist Gul Tut, known by the name Glu, after her daughter Togyan Ulkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, who were at home on the night of the accident, were arrested. Ulu’s father was also detained on suspicion of some connection to the case, which turned from a mysterious fall accident into a suspicion of murder.
Investigations reported that the daughter and her friend were planning to leave the country, which required quick security intervention. Their arrest was carried out in the Buyukcekmece area in Istanbul, where another girl named Erem was also arrested, raising the number of those arrested to five.
The investigations revealed new details that reflect the nature of family relationships within her home, as the recordings indicated the existence of previous disputes between Glou and her children, which led to expanding the scope on which the competent authorities focus in examining these relationships. The toxicology report issued in October also showed the presence of a high level of alcohol, as 3.53 bromyl was measured in the late artist’s blood. Despite this percentage, the final medical report confirmed that the cause of death was a fall from a height, without indicating any other factors that could be behind the accident.
The Turkish authorities are currently seeking to collect all information and data related to the relationship between Gulu and her children, in addition to examining the possibilities of other motives behind the death, within the framework of investigations that are expanding every day.
Togberk, the son of artist Gul Tut, announced the death of his mother via a video clip on social media platforms. He described what happened as a sudden and painful incident, while categorically denying the rumors that indicated her suicide. In his message at the time, he expressed his deep sadness, saying: “I inform you with great sadness that my mother, the artist Gholo, has passed away following a tragic accident that occurred last night, and what is being circulated about her committing suicide has nothing to do with the truth.
He also promised to publish the details of the funeral at a later time, which reflects the extent of the shock and sadness that her family is experiencing under these circumstances.
