The local unit of the center and city of Qena announced the closure of the two Al-Jazeera slides for 32 hours, today, Sunday, due to the railway authority carrying out the necessary mechanical maintenance work, to ensure increasing operating efficiency and achieving safety factors.

The local unit explained in a statement that the closure will begin today, Sunday, December 28, 2025, at eight in the morning, and will continue until Monday, December 29, 2025, at four in the evening.
The local unit in the center and city of Qena called on citizens and vehicle drivers to adhere to alternative traffic diversions during the closure period, and to take other routes to avoid traffic congestion, stressing that maintenance work comes within the framework of ensuring the safety of citizens and road users.
The local unit confirmed that the slides will be reopened as soon as the work is completed on time, with continuous follow-up of the progress of the work to ensure its completion on the scheduled date.
