The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Beheira Governorate, headed by Mohamed Rajab Hadiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Suhair Zaatar, Undersecretary of the Directorate, Al-Sayyid Al-Wakeel, Director General of Internal Trade, and Murad Abdel Qader Masoud, Head of the Shubrakhit Center and City, were able to seize quantities of food materials and commodities in the Shubrakhit Center that were unfit for human consumption and of unknown origin.

Expired food supplies and goods of unknown origin were seized during ration campaigns in Beheira

The campaigns resulted in the seizure of 444 expired packages of food “pate and toast” in a food store, and the seizure of 284 packages of food items “burger and mayonnaise” without data or labels, and the seizure of 170 kg of minced meat, pastrami, shawarma, chicken pieces, and paneer without data or labels.

A quantity of 1.5 tons of table salt of unknown origin was also seized in a food store, and 3 shops with different activities were seized for not announcing the prices of the goods displayed there.

The campaign was supervised by Farhat Brik, Director of the Commercial Transactions Department in the Directorate, and headed by Magdy Abdel Ghani, Director of the Department, Mohamed Galal, Inspector at the General Administration of Internal Trade, Mustafa Balbaa, Ahmed Alawi, Governance and Internal Audit Department in the Governorate, Ashraf Mansour, Vice President of the Shubrakhit Center and City, Engineer Bassam Mufid, Inspector at the Food Safety Authority, and Dr. Mohamed Najm, Veterinarian in Shubrakhit.
